Adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park lies 10 500 hectares of pristine African bushveld, which is the 'Thornybush Game Reserve'. With an abundance of bird and mammal species including the 'Big 5'.
Explore the African bush on foot and from the back of an open safari vehicle. Discover the animal world, from the smallest termite to the tall and elegant giraffe, from the cute dwarf mongoose to the moody buffalo. Listen to the distant roar of the lion whilst relaxing around the campfire, or simply appreciate the silence, space and brilliant night skies.

Jackalberry Lodge is situated in the Thornybush Game Reserve on the edge of the Kruger National Park in the Limpopo Province in South Africa.
Scheduled daily flights to Eastgate Airport on South African Express Airways in pressurized turbine and jet aircraft, approximately a one-hour flight from Johannesburg International Airport.
Eastgate Airport, booking code HDS, is located outside of Hoedspruit and is approximately 25 minutes by road from Thornybush Game Reserve. Road transfers from Eastgate Airport to the reserve are available. Chartered flights can be arranged directly into Jackalberry Lodge.
