Built originally as a Coaching Inn by soldiers returning from the battle of Culloden, the Dunalastair Hotel stands in the square of Kinloch Rannoch, a picturesque Highland Village set in one of Scotland's most beautiful and unspoilt areas. It was converted to hotel status around the turn of the last century but through restoration and subtle alteration the current owners, the Edwards family, have managed to combine seamlessly the comforts of today with all the grand character of its past.
A fully equipped business centre, exhibit space and conference rooms accommodates corporate events, and for the health conscious, there is access to a nearby fitness centre (a fee applies).

The Dunalastair Hotel is a Victorian country house located in the village of Kinloch Rannoch on the shores of Loch Rannoch in Perthshire.
The hotel is surrounded by forest and mountain scenery providing a fine setting for the o utdoor pursuits such as horse riding, hiking and fishing. Edinburgh Airport is 75 miles from the hotel. Frequent daily bus services run from the bus station adjacent to the Terminal to the central Edinburgh bus terminus at Waverley Bridge. Taxis are also available from a taxi rank adjacent to the Terminal.
There are regular daily City Link, Stagecoach and National coach services from Glaagow and Edinburgh to Perth and onwards to Pitlochry. From Pitlochry there is a daily connecting bus service (four times a day) all the way to the hotel.
Browns runs a service bus between the hotel and Pitlochry. Buses leave from the front door of the hotel for both Pitlochry and Rannoch Station three/fou r times daily(two to three times in the winter months). The buses connect we ll with trains arriving at both Pitlochry and Rannoch Station.

* Dunalastair restaurant is set in a wood panelled dining room, with an open fire. Scottish dishes are prepared with local produceand can include Medallions Of Venison Saddle Served Over a Pool of Blackberry and Ginger Jus and Raspberry Cranachan Creme Brulee, Served With Biscuit Tuille Sticks.
* The lounge bar has subdued lighting and dark wood furnishings, which contribute to the relaxing environment where guests can sample fine single malt whiskies. In the public bar, guests can enjoy a game of pool and a pint.

* The 28 guestrooms have floral fabrics and heavy dark wood furniture. Most retain elements of period style. Amenities include satellite television, hair dryers, toiletries and wireless Internet connections.
